FAQ

Our CME-based refresher courses are designed to be flexible and convenient for students, which is why they are completely self-paced. This means that you can complete the course on your own schedule and at your own pace. Our online platform is accessible 24/7, so you can log in and study whenever it is most convenient for you.

To ensure that you have ample time to complete our CME-based refresher courses and meet the requirements for maintaining your certification, we require that you complete the course at least 2 months before your certification expires. This allows you to have enough time to complete the course requirements, schedule the skills competency evaluation, and submit all necessary paperwork to the state in a timely manner.

Our modules for each topic are structured to allow you to easily track your progress and ensure that you are meeting the required course completion milestones.

Yes, our CME coordinator will provide a step-by-step video explaining how to use the online platform. This video can be accessed at any time and provides a detailed walkthrough of how to navigate the online platform and complete the course requirements. Additionally, we are always available by email at info@bhemt.org to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the course.

While it is technically possible to complete our CME-based refresher course modules on a phone, we recommend using a desktop computer or laptop for the best learning experience. Our online platform is designed to provide interactive lectures, videos, and case studies that may be more difficult to navigate on a smaller device.

The time it takes to complete the course can vary depending on the individual’s pace, schedule, and familiarity with the material. We have had students complete the course in as little as a week, while others may take longer. On average, we estimate that it takes around one month to complete the course requirements.

As long as you complete the course at least two months before your certification expires, you can take advantage of our self-paced courses and take as much time as you need to complete the course requirements.

You can start anytime within the 3 years you need to renew your certification. You will have access to the online platform for one year from the date of enrollment, giving you plenty of time to review the material and prepare for your certification renewal. Should you require additional time, you can purchase an extension for an additional year for $50.
